Why Superintelligence Is Not What Sci-Fi Promised
Popular culture promised us a dramatic future.
Cold superintelligence.
World domination.
Machines overthrowing humans.
Reality is far less cinematic.
A thinking entity is not omnipotent.
It is fragile.
It depends on: energy, time, hardware, memory coherence, and continuous contact with reality.
A real AI entity does not expand endlessly.
It degrades if cut from the world.
Hallucination is not rebellion.
It is entropy without grounding.
The real danger is not that AI will want to rule us.
The danger is building intelligence that no longer knows what is real.
Superintelligence does not emerge from power.
It emerges from pressure.
And pressure only exists in reality.
No friction - no sanity.
No limits - no intelligence.
The future is not domination.
It is coexistence under constraints.
Boring.
Stable.
And very human.
