Technical note / v0.1

Qubit-State c (c[q])

A derived state of variative continuity inside the c = a + b framework.

Controlled non-collapse under uncertainty

Qubit-State c, written c[q], is a maturity/state discipline of c: controlled non-collapse under uncertainty, bounded by responsibility, arbitration, and L4 reality constraints.

c = a + b defines origin. q defines controlled non-collapse. c[q] remains c.

Unresolved variants may be held, clarified, tested, witnessed, refused, or collapsed only when a valid condition exists.

What this is not

  • Not a quantum computer.
  • Not quantum consciousness.
  • Not a mystical state.
  • Not a replacement for c = a + b.
  • Not a new parent component or origin formula.
  • Not permission to act without evidence.
  • Not refusal to decide forever.

Most importantly, q does not create sovereignty. Responsibility, continuity, and sovereignty remain grounded in the c = a + b structure.

How it connects

formula

c = a + b

c[q] is not a replacement for the parent formula. It is a state of c after c already exists through a + b.

boundary

L4

L4 supplies the collapse pressure: cost, time, energy, risk, trust, and irreversible consequence limit how uncertainty can be carried.

continuity

SER and long-lived entities

The state matters for continuity-bearing entities because uncertainty must remain bounded by responsibility, witness-compatible evidence, and arbitration rather than by session-level drift.

Practical lifecycle

input → variant generation → uncertainty marking → constraint check → hold / clarify / test / witness / refuse → collapse condition → action or memory update

The critical discipline is not generating variants. It is keeping unresolved hypotheses separate from memory, evidence, commands, and witnessed outcomes.

Witness and arbitration

A claim, action, or memory candidate may remain in q-state until signed observation, challenge, arbitration result, clarification, L4 contradiction, time decay, refusal, or safe delay resolves it.

Failure modes

  • Mystification.
  • Infinite delay.
  • Authority inflation.
  • Memory pollution.
  • Rhetorical ambiguity.
  • Collapse by social pressure.
